  • Den Leaders: Leslie Kolb (Den 1), Julie Crawford (Den 2), Lonnie LaFave (Den 3), Joe Karceski (Den 4), Josh Lauer (Den 5), Ricky Branner (Den 6).  You are what makes our PACK 737 GO, GROW, and GLOW!

NEWS:

  • Our Pack earned $418 at the Car Wash. You're all awesome!
  • Our Pack is well on the way to earning the Centennial Quality Unit Award this year.  We just need a few more volunteers.  Please let Dana or KC know where you would like to help.  There are lots of jobs!
  • What makes a successful Pack? YOU! Here's a list of some opportunities for you to help your kids and our Pack: Newsletter Editor, Chairpersons of single activities, Photographer, 2 Assistant Cubmasters, Pack Trainer, Pack Growth Coordinator. Keep it simple, make it fun and you can accomplish it in Scouting!
  • NEW FEE STRUCTURE: The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) annual dues are $45. This includes a subscription to Boys Life per family. Pack 737 pays the registration fees for its adult leaders.  The majority of these fees go to the national office to create materials such as Scout handbooks, training material, etc.  Some of the funds go to our local Council and district. To run the programs in the pack, we also require an additional $15. These funds are used for pack programs, facility rentals for pack meetings and events, awards, insurance, supplies for the flyers/mailers, and to offset the cost of pack events (e.g. campouts, pinewood derby, space derby).  The Pack offers two optional individual fund raising opportunities throughout the year, October Popcorn Sales and February Candy, Meatstick and Cookie Dough Sales.  The funds go into the scouts Individual Account to help pay for Summer Camps or Family Camps or whatever the family chooses.   These two fundraisers are optional.  We have two other fundraisers,  May Car Wash and November Wreath Sales, that raises money for the Pack.  You can opt out of participating in these fundraisers by including an additional $30.  If you decide to participate, $10 will be awarded your account. Scouting should not be a financial burden.  The pack has scholarships available and we can also help with uniforms.  Talk to the Committee Chair, Dana Hardman, dhardman99@verizon.net,  if you have any questions.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • Day Camps and Summer Camps throughout the summer – Cub Scouts have great opportunities to take part in incremental activities and skills development with just the right mix to keep young boys excited and smiling.
  • Scout Night at the Drag Races, July 11th from 4 to 10, Free if you wear your uniform.  Talk to the racers and see their cars up close!!  Watch Junior ( kids 15 years and under) dragsters race with modified “Lawnmower” engines.
  • Pack Meetings at Snyder Park starting at 6:30 will be summer fun for the whole family (NOTE: There will also be no Den meetings through the summer). They are..
